These terms apply to purchases made through the Federation of Canadian Artists: original artwork bought from the Federation Gallery, workshop and class registrations, and retreats.
Artwork
Original artwork may be returned for a refund within 14 days.
Artwork is shipped piece by piece rather than at a standard rate. Gallery staff confirm the shipping cost once they have the measurements and the destination, and invoice it separately. To arrange a return, or for an estimate before you order, email [email protected].
Workshops and classes
- Full payment is required at the time of registration.
- Registration fees cover the full workshop. Refunds are not provided for individual days missed.
- You may withdraw up to four weeks before the workshop start date and receive a full refund.
- No refunds are available after that deadline.
- The FCA reserves the right to change or cancel educational programs. If the FCA cancels a program, a full refund is provided.
- If an instructor becomes unavailable, the FCA may arrange an alternate instructor with similar credentials, or schedule an alternate date.
Chapters run their own workshops and some set different terms. Where a workshop states its own refund terms, those terms apply.
Retreats
Refunds for retreats are available up to six months before the retreat start date.
Submission and entry fees
Entry fees pay for the jurying of your work, which takes place whether or not a piece is accepted, so they are not refundable once a submission has been made.
Community Open Studio
Community Open Studio sessions run by donation and are treated as donations, so no refund applies.

For artwork, contact the gallery at [email protected]. For workshops, classes and retreats, contact the FCA office at [email protected]. Please include your order number and the name of the work or program.
