RENTALS
The Federation of Canadian Artists rents space on Granville Island for exhibitions, workshops, classes, meetings and small events. Three options are set out below: the gallery at 1241 Cartwright Street, the 768 square foot flex space at 1310 Johnston Street, and the Federation Studios and classroom.
Gallery Rental
Please note:
As a member driven organization, the Federation of Canadian Artists does not rent exhibition space for solo exhibitions.
We are a great rental location for group exhibitions, and exhibitions by other visual arts organizations looking for a dynamic new venue to boost the exposure of their members.

Gallery Hours
May to August: Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM
September to April: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM
The gallery closes on installation days, usually Mondays, and closes at 3 PM on deinstallation days, usually Sundays.
Flex Space Rental
The Federation of Canadian Artists offers a versatile 768 square foot flex space on Granville Island, ideal for art workshops, creative classes, meetings, small exhibitions, photo shoots and smaller 20-30 people events (pending set up of room). If you can envision your idea in this space, it’s available for you! Available for rental seven days a week, the space comes equipped with tables, chairs, easels, flip-chart stands, and a projection screen at no additional cost. Kitchen amenities including a fridge, microwave, kettle, and coffee maker are also included. Audiovisual equipment or a projector can be added for a small fee.

Studio Rental
The Federation Studio building is home to 11 studios available on an affordable monthly rental basis, with natural light and wooden beams. Rates for the studios and the classroom are set out below. To ask about availability, email [email protected].
