Taylor Brushworth paints the wet streets and low skies of the west coast, working from a studio in East Vancouver. Trained in printmaking before turning to oils, Taylor is drawn to the way rain rearranges a familiar street into colour and reflection.

I am after the moment a place stops being a place and becomes light on a wet surface. If a painting still smells of the weather it was made in, it is finished.
