ACCESSIBILITY

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification or voice control.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard used across Canada. The website was checked against these guidelines in October 2026 and the problems the audit found were fixed.

We check new features against the same guidelines before they go live, and we welcome reports of anything we have missed.

What we have done

Keyboard
Every menu, form and button can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and you can always see where you are on the page. Menus close with the Escape key.

Screen readers
Pages are built with headings, labelled forms and named regions, and images that carry meaning are described in text. Artwork images are described by their title.

Reading
Text meets the contrast levels the guidelines set, and links within sentences are underlined, so nothing depends on colour alone.

Zoom and small screens
The site works on phones and when magnified to 400%, without scrolling sideways.

Movement
Slideshows and the video on the home page can be paused, and nothing moves if your device is set to reduce motion.

Known limitations

Older documents
Some older documents on the Governance page, mainly AGM minutes and financial statements from 2020 and earlier, are scanned PDFs that screen readers cannot read. We are happy to send any of them in another format.

Services from other providers
Card payments are taken through Stripe and donations through CanadaHelps. Their payment and donation forms are provided by them.
