RENEW

Renewing your membership

Every FCA membership runs the calendar year, 1 January to 31 December, and expires on 31 December whenever in the year you joined.

Renew online from your account, or with the office by phone, in person or by cheque.

When and how to renew

When you can renew
Renew online any time between 1 October and the end of February. After February the online route closes for the year and the office does it for you: phone 604-681-2740 or write to [email protected].

Ways to pay
Online, from your account
Over the phone, on 604-681-2740
In person at Federation Gallery, 1241 Cartwright Street
By cheque. Ask the office for the renewal form and post it with your cheque to the Membership Coordinator, Federation of Canadian Artists, 1241 Cartwright Street, Vancouver, BC V6H 4B7

If your membership has expired
Call or email the office and we will put you back on the list. There is no penalty for being late.

Exhibiting and Elected members who lapsed more than a year ago
You have two choices. Pay the lapsed years and keep the status you earned, or start again as a Supporting member and go through jurying afresh. The Membership Coordinator will talk it through with you: 604-681-2740 or [email protected].

Your chapter
Chapters run exhibitions, workshops and gatherings locally. Most chapters’ affiliation is renewed alongside your membership, from your account. A few chapters collect their own fee, and you renew with them: their Membership page says how.

Staying in touch

Consent to hear from us
Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) requires the FCA to have your consent before sending commercial electronic messages, including email and the e-newsletters. Buying or renewing a membership is taken as that consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by telling the Membership Coordinator or using the unsubscribe link on any message. Questions about consent, or about how we will contact you, go to the same place: [email protected].

While you are here
The Federation is a registered charity, and memberships do not cover what it costs to run the exhibitions, the gallery and the education program. Donating is how the rest is made up.
